Welcome to Alaska! Ketchikan Charter School is located in the city of Ketchikan in Southern Southeast Alaska, an astoundingly breathtaking coastal region rich in wildlife and natural beauty. K.C.S. was founded by parents with the support of concerned community members and administrators who saw the need for an elementary school which focused on academic excellence, parental input, family involvement, and most important accountability.
This framework quickly became the core academic foundation of our school, which is why we believe the focus of our atmosphere must always remain, “What’s best for the Students?”
It is our belief that in order for a school to be truly successful, teachers and parents must work TOGETHER to achieve educational goals. Mutual respect is our key principle as we build long term partnerships on behalf of our children, our students.
